My Favorite Tree

This Japanese Red Maple lives in my back yard and is my favorite tree. It is beautiful all year long, but is especially stunning during the fall.

Ocean City MD October 2009

To caption or not to caption, that is the question. And this time, the answer is “no.” I’ll go with the old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words.

To briefly set the scene: these photographs are from my recent two-day vacation in Ocean City, Maryland. The off-season there is very quiet, many businesses are closed till spring and there aren’t very many tourists there on a late-October Tuesday.

Hopefully these shots capture some of what I saw and felt.

Middletown Heritage Fest - Bonus Shots 1

I took two hundred pictures at this year's Festival. I posted a few on my Middletown Daily Photo site and here are a few more. This series shows off some of the vintage cars - yes, I'm a car geek.

Asheville Area - more photos

I was tempted to caption these, but I think I'll let them speak for themselves. The first bunch are Crabtree Falls, a mile-long hike off Blue Ridge Parkway, northeast of Asheville. The last three are in the city.
